Last weekend I decided to dust off my old PSP and update the CFW on it to run the newer games that have come out since the last time I actually used it. One game in particular that I had to play was Persona 3 Portable. I have always been a fan of the Shin Megami Tensei series and Persona 3 was an amazing addition back on the PS2. Persona 3 Portable is well..the portable version of Persona 3. They added some new content in which you can play as a female lead character with a different story progression.
You play the role of a boy or girl who has the ability to summon multiple persona's. These persona's are kind of like adult pokemon. They are each able to cast spells and give you the ability to fuse them with other Persona's to create...you guessed it..more persona's.
The reason why Persona's exist in the first place is a mystery. The best description that they give is that they are a reflection of who you are based upon the strengths of certain emotions. These emotions are strengthened by the relationships you make and strengthen with NPCs in the game along with doing normal tasks day by day. For example some Persona's' strengths are directly determined by your academics score which is increased by studying at your desk in your room or the library. Others are strengthened by bonds that you have with peers.
So why are Persona important? Well..every night at midnight (aka the Dark Hour) the school that you go to transforms into a labyrinth called Tarterus that is filled with enemies called shadows. These shadows have become more aggressive and are attacking people and infecting them with extreme lethargy. The catatonic states that the people are put into cannot be cured so it is up to you and the people that you meet to explore Tartarus and find out what the hell is going on and fix it.
Dark hour happens every night at midnight and it is an extra 60 minutes of existence that no one is aware of. Anyone who is not able to summon persona are transformed into standing caskets. It sounds really fucking weird, I know, but the game is absolutely amazing.
Anyways I hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend :)

Hellsing OVA 8 Preview
I absolutely love Hellsing. The first 7 OVAs I went through twice. Now the 8th is soon to follow!
Druid is now a Tree
Since I started working a later shift I had been looking for a raiding guild that started after I got home from my 2pm - 11pm shift. After a couple of weeks of looking as well as reverting my Alliance druid over to horde I found a good solid group of people to start doing some raids.
The Guild is called We Raid at Midnight and for the past couple of weeks I have been running with them and I have to say they are really laid back but at the same time progress through the new content quickly and provide positive feedback to the players that mess up.
I had been raiding with them as a ranged DPS. Last night though they needed a healer so I switched my spec to restoration and went with them. I have to say I kind of missed healing raids. I got a couple of healing items as well. Most importantly got a 251 dagger that is made for healing:

I hope that our successes continue. I really want the Kingslayer title for my cow man :)

The New Build!
I have been wanting to do a fresh build on my gaming machine for a long long time. About 10 years ago I entered the foray of custom build computers and I LOVED customizing machines and doing the research on each individual pieces to get the ultimate build for the lowest cost.
I used that machine for 7 years before it finally popped. Well, everything didn't pop but enough that I knew better than to waste the money on buying old parts and decided to start saving my samoleans to do a new build. The problem is that my parents are very over generous and they caught wind that my machine had popped and went out and bought a newer Acer (this was almost 3 years ago) and I have to admit I am really impressed with the upgrade capabilities hat come standard with their base models. Rather than doing a complete rebuild I upgraded the machine they bought me and have been using that up until now.
While doing some packing/cleaning for the move next month I uncovered a computer case that I had completely forgotten a friend had sold to me for cheap. It is still gorgeous and I decided to start fresh with it as the foundation. Here is a pic of the case (pulled from the internets):

As you can see it is muey gorgeous and I love the sleek design. :D I am really stoked about putting this bad boy together. Tonight I ordered one of the TB HDDs and the processor. This is about as much as I could really afford with rent due today but with the next paycheck I hope to have it up and running.
A month from now I will be in full upgraded computer mode.
